The US decision to introduce anti-dumping duties on Turkey's steel production caused discontent with the Ankara authorities. Turkey appealed to the World Trade Organization (WTO) with a complaint to the United States.
Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci said that the position of the US authorities is unacceptable. He recalled that Turkey had already brought this issue to the WTO discussion two years ago and the relevant process is undergo.
"Washington's arguments are untenable," the minister noted. "The US authorities carried out an investigation to spread anti-dumping duties on Turkey's steel production three times, but they could make a proper decision," Anadolu agency cited Zeybekci as saying. "It was taken only with the fourth attempt," the head of the Economy Ministry stressed.
