Turkey expects oil prices to grow after western anti-Russian sanctions are imposed due to the Ukrainian crisis, Turkish Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said.
"This is a simple math – if supply shortage happens, the prices go up. We started to see this supply shortage even before the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, but now it has even worse outcomes," Bayraktar told Sputnik on the sidelines of the CERAWeek energy conference when asked whether oil prices could continue to rise in light of the events in Ukraine.
