Turkey intends to normalize the relations with Russia by mid-August 2016, the Haber7 newspaper reported June 17 citing diplomatic sources, Trend writes.
Ankara doesn't need mediators for this purpose, said the report.
The newspaper said that according to the road map worked out by Turkey on normalizing the relations with Russia, Turkish officials will take part in all official events to be held in Russia by mid-August.
The relations between Russia and Turkey deteriorated after the incident with Russian SU-24 bomber. Following the incident, Russia's President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on taking measures for ensuring the country's national security and special economic measures against Turkey.
Earlier, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a letter to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day.
In his letter to Putin, Erdogan said he wishes the Russian-Turkish relations to reach a "deserved level".
