Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey is preparing to participate in the ongoing Mosul operation against ISIL in Iraq on the ground.
"It is impossible for us to stay out of it because there lies history for us. We will be present on the ground and we will be at the table," Haber 7 cited Erdogan as saying.
The Mosul offensive to liberate the city from ISIL began midnight Sunday, according to the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
