Official Ankara opposed attempts to restrict the rights of national delegations in PACE, the chairman of the National Assembly of Turkey, Ismail Kahraman, said during a meeting with State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in St. Petersburg.
Kahraman stressed that the Turkish side is against the attempts to restrict the right of different countries’ representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. "Our parliamentarians and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are in close contact," he said, stressing that Turkey will coordinate its efforts on the issues of the national and international agenda.
