By the end of this year, Turkey will publish the Climate Strategy and Action Plan that will become the basis of the country's long-term environmental policy, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said addressing the participants of the Major Economies on Energy and Climate online-forum.
"Turkey is the 5th in Europe and the 12th in the world in terms of installed capacity of renewable energy," the Turkish leader said, noting that due to the course towards modernization in the energy complex, Turkey managed to reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere by 100 mln tons per year, the Anadolu News Agency reports.
