Turkey plans to strengthen the border with Syria and to establish new security systems.
"The National Security Department presented its project. The critical issue here is preventing the passage of terrorists and taking physical measures along the border against the IS threat. A physical security system will be established along the border. Critical parts of the border have been identified," Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said.
"Our country is determined to fight this terrorist organization like it fights all kinds of terror. Almost 600 people have been detained since January 1st 2015 on suspicion of being linked with IS, of which 102 were arrested and sent to jail," TASS cited the Deputy Prime Minister as saying.
