Turkey to pay partially in rubles for Russian gas supplies

25% of Turkey’s payment for Russian gas will be in rubles, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said, Yeni Şafak informs.

"The corresponding agreement will enter into force in the near future. The fact that Turkey will buy gas from Russia in rubles will reduce costs and dependence on the dollar," the minister said.

He also said that it is planned to speed up the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant.
