Turkey to receive first gas from Black Sea in March

Turkey may receive gas from Sakarya Field in the Black Sea next March, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Fatih Dönmez says.

“In March 2023, first gas from the Black Sea field will be delivered to the land,” Anadolu Agency cites him.

The Minister notes that “an energy base” is being built in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea. “120 km of pipes have already been run on the seabed. Another 50 km are expected,” Dönmez says.

He states that Turkey’s authorities plan to continue exploration and further mining operation in all fields, including sea areas.
