A Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 was forced into a hard landing in Odessa after the aircraft’s nose landing gear broke.
The incident took place yesterday evening around 10 pm local time.
After a missed approach aircraft circled over Odessa and skidded off the runway during second attempt.
However, the second attempt to touch down did not work out so well, and saw the plane veering off the runway and making a hard landing nose-first, the RT reported.
All passengers were evacuated through an inflatable slide.
At Odessa Airport, this is the second incident yesterday. Earlier, a business jet stopped takeoff again due to nosegear issue.
