Turkish Foreign Minister and intelligence chief to visit Iraq

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, and the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) chief, Hakan Fidan, will visit Baghdad on Thursday.

According to Davutoglu, Turkey’s presence in Iraq is to promote stability in the region, as Ankara "does not 'want to be neighbors with Daesh".

"Therefore, we will support both Iraq and the Kurdish region on all terms," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
