The Turkish military has successfully tested the world's first drone with laser weapons of its own production.
According to Anadolu Agency, during the tests, Eren drone fired shots from distances of 500, 300 and 100 m.
The drone was developed by TÜBİTAK and ASİSGUARD under the coordination of the Criminalistics Department of the Turkish General Directorate of Security.
According to the assistant to Turkish Police Commissioner Aykut Eroglu, the drone is designed to eliminate explosive devices without the involvement of sappers. After completing all tests, Eren will be commissioned to the Turkish army.
