Turkish banks may become guarantor of Russia's part of grain deal

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that late last month UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres proposed that Turkish banks could help process payments to Russia.

Cavusoglu told TV 100 channel that the Turkish Banks Association was working on a possible formula, because Turkey wants assurances that its banks would not face sanctions.
