In June, Turkey's export volume was the highest in history, Anadolu Agency informs. According to the news agency, the country's exports amounted to a record $23.4 bln.
"Turkey's export volume for June 2022 amounted to $ 23.4 bln, which is 18.5% higher than in the same period of the last year. Export volume for June was the highest monthly indicator of deliveries abroad in the history of Turkey," the country’s minister of trade, Mehmet Mush, said.
The minister added that the upward trend in exports, which began in 2021, continues this year, "which cannot but cause satisfaction."
Turkey's exports amounted to $126 bln in the first half of 2022, Mush added.
Turkish imports grew by 40%, to $31.6 bln, of which $8.1 bln were spent on the purchase of energy resources.
