Turkish farmers killed by Crimean-Congo Fever

A cattle farmer and his wife have died in the southern province of Adana after contracting Crimean-Congo Heamorrhagic Fever (CCHF), health officials said.

Selahattin Ozmen and his wife Mine died in hospital after suffering diarrhea and fatigue. The Health Ministry said tests had confirmed the presence of the virus, which is primarily transmitted from ticks and livestock animals, RIA Novosti reports.
