Turkish opposition doubts successful talks on coalition government

The chairman of the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, doubts there will be a successful outcome of the first round of talks on the establishment of a coalition government.

According to him, the first round of negotiations will not bring any results, but it is possible that good results will be achieved in the second round, the Turkish agency Anadolu reports.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave official commission for the prime minister to form the government.

Kilicdaroglu’s party put forward the conditions for the formation of a coalition government with the Justice and Development Party in June. According to the terms, the leader of the Republican People's Party must head the country's government within two years and one of the members of the Republican People's Party must lead the Turkish parliament.

In addition, the opposition called for appointing the minister of justice, interior minister and education minister from among MPs from the Republican People's Party, Trend reports.
