Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkey, Ahmet Arslan, discussed prospects of cooperation in the transport sphere, including creation of transit and transport corridors, the local media reports.
"Turkmenistan and Turkey have every reason to take a leading position in the creation of modern transport corridors in the 'East-West' and 'North-South' directions," Berdimuhamedov said.
Turkmen President and the Turkish Minister also discussed the construction of the International sea port in Turkmenbashi and the International airport in Ashgabat.
