The State Corporation 'Turkmengeology' has announced the discovery of two new gas fields close to the largest field of Turkmenistan 'Galkynysh'.
"The discovery of these fields allows us to speak about an increase in the proven reserves of natural gas in the super-giant field 'Galkynysh'," the official statement says. It is known that the new fields were named 'Garakel' and 'Bugly'.
According to expert estimates, the approximate reserves of natural gas from the fields 'Galkynysh', 'Yashlar' and 'Garakel' amount to 27.4 trillion cubic meters, Trend reports.
