U.S. continues to think Nord Stream 2 is bad project

The U.S. administration continues to think that Nord Stream 2 is a bad project, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said during a press briefing at the White House.

She was asked if there is any discussion about Nord Stream 2 or taking away something that Russia wants.

"Well, we continue to think that Nord Stream 2 is a bad project, as you know.  But we — there’s still an ongoing investigation," she said.

She noted that Cyber Command would make recommendations about next steps due to the Colonial Pipeline attack.

The Colonial Pipeline system recently shuttered after hacker group DarkSide infiltrated their servers and encrypted its data in a ransomware cyberattack. This cyberattack caused a shutdown of 5,550 miles of the pipeline, which works as the main source of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel for the US East Coast.
