The U.S. Department of State mentioned a Russian pipe-laying vessel and its owner, already sanctioned by U.S., in its report on entities designated for U.S. sanctions over the Nord Stream 2 project, a senior U.S. congressman said in a statement.
"Today, in a congressionally mandated report on entities engaging in sanctionable activity related to the malign Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, the [U.S. President Joe] Biden Administration announced only two sanctions designations," House Foreign Affairs Lead Republican Michael McCaul said.
According to the statement, the report lists only Russian pipe-laying vessel Fortuna and its owner, KVT-RUS, "which were both already sanctioned by the previous Administration under separate authorities.".
