U.S. ship Porter enters Batumi after Odessa

The U.S. ship Porter (DDG 78) has arrived in Georgia’s Batumi for a port visit today, the U.S. Embassy to Georgia reported.

"The visit serves to highlight the continued cooperation between the U.S. and Georgia by promoting regional peace and stability," Agenda.ge cited the embassy as saying,

Before, this ship entered Ukraine's Odessa on October 13.

The U.S. Porter is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer of the United States Navy. It's capable of conducting exercises and operations in areas such as anti-submarine warfare and ballistic missile defense.
