Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, Vedant Patel wished Russia the best of luck, commenting on Russia’s UN Security Council chairmanship.
"We wish them the best of luck," Patel said.
On July 1, Russia began its one-month presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The last time the country coordinated the work of the global body’s key department was in April 2023.
