The Armenian government has approved an agreement with the British company Grange Power Ltd, which plans to build a steam-gas thermal power station in northern Armenia.
The company is interested in implementing a variety of projects in the energy sector of Armenia.
The Armenian state guarantees the purchasing of electricity from this station for 6.62 drams per 1 kW/h for 20 years from its construction, NEWS.am cited the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yervand Zakharyan, as saying.
Investment in the construction will amount to US$215 million.
