Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said that during the talks with his British counterpart James Cleverley, the ways to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons would be discussed. The parties also plan to discuss "the regional influence of Iran, which has a hostile orientation".

"The Iranian issue will prevail on the diplomatic agenda, ways to end Iran's nuclear program through tough economic and political sanctions will be emphasized".

The Israeli Foreign Minister also stressed that the authorities of the countries would not rule out military intervention if Iran began to escalate the conflict.

In turn, the UK Foreign Secretary stressed that London also opposed the hostile influence of Iran in the region and the broader problem of anti-Semitism.

It is planned that today's talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries will end with the signing of a road map containing ways to intensify cooperation between the UK and Israel until 2023.
