The UK government will impose a ban on the import of Russian liquefied natural gas from January 1, 2023. This is according to a statement the United Kingdom Foreign Office published on Friday.
"From 1 January 2023, the UK is ending all imports of Russian liquefied natural gas and supporting countries around the world in reducing their own dependency [on Russian gas]," according to a statement posted on Twitter.
Earlier, the British authorities announced that by the end of the year the country would stop importing fuel from Russia.
