The British traveler Karl Bushby plans to cross the Caspian Sea, the BBC reports.
The historic swim is scheduled for mid-August. The man found out that no one in the world had previously crossed the Caspian Sea. The traveler plans to swim across the Caspian Sea between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Thus, he will need to cover 300 km in total.
A support boat will accompany the traveler throughout the route. The European traveler will be joined in the swim by two members of the Azerbaijani swimming team.
Bushby's journey around the world has lasted for more than 25 years. The man set a goal to travel around the world without using any transport. He mostly travels on foot. He decided to swim across the Caspian Sea against the backdrop of the impossibility of crossing neither Russia nor Iran on foot.
