The official representative of the UN Secretary General, Stefan Dyuzharrik, has said that Ban Ki-moon expressed his condolences to the relatives of those who were killed in the crush during the hajj near Mecca, as well as governments whose citizens suffered during the tragedy.
"The Secretary-General was deeply saddened when he received news about the deaths of more than 700 pilgrims in the hajj and the injuries to many other people due to the tragic incident in the Mina Valley in Saudi Arabia,’’ RIA Novosti cites the representative of the UN secretary general.
