UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is "grateful" for Turkish efforts to resolve the situation in Ukraine.
"We’ve seen the reports from Turkey and emanating from various phone calls. The Secretary-General is extremely grateful for the support that Turkey is giving in addressing the situation in the Black Sea and supporting the Secretary-General’s own efforts," his spokesman Stephane Dujarric said at a news conference.
Dujarric noted that there’s a lot of information floating about from different sources. "I think the Secretary-General’s approach is extremely methodical when it comes to communications. So, we are confirming things as they happen, which includes travel," he said.
