Tbilisi summed up the annual results of implementation of the Georgian National Action Plan on gender equality issues in 2014-2016.
Progress in gender policy in Georgia is obvious, the head of the UN Development Program (UNDP) Shombi Sharp stated.
"We are very pleased that gender equality is a priority issue for the government of Georgia," he noted.
"Now the time has come to turn everything into reality - to include more women in politics and business, to give them equal working conditions and payment," Sharp added, Sputnik Georgia reports.
