Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has been awarded the prize of the Clarivate Analytics company (formerly known as Thomson Reuters), the world's largest electronic scientific and analytical database.
UNEC, which takes the purposeful steps to become the university of the international level, has gained the prizes 'Web of Science Awards - 2018' and the 'Most progressive universities in Web of Science for the last 3 years,' issued by Clarivate Analytics for increasing the number of publications in the influential scientific magazines and the successful integration into the global science space.
The number of scientific works which are included in the Web of Science of the academic -teaching staff of UNEC significantly increased during the collaboration. Approximately 56% (43 from 77 scientific papers) published by the UNEC was included into the Web of Science in 1991-2018 within the last 3 years.
It was earlier reported that joint international conferences and trainings were held at UNEC as part of the cooperation with Clarivate Analytics. For the first time in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the book about the scientometrics 'The study guide on scientometrics: the science and the development indicators of technologies' which is systematizing the knowledge has been translated and published at UNEC.
