US State Department supports non-interference in issue of Turkish troops in Iraq

Baghdad and Ankara should independently solve the issue of the presence of Turkish troops in the northern Iraq, US State Department spokesperson John Kirby said.

"We believe that the best path forward here is for Turkey and Iraq to work this out bilaterally. They are conducting discussions," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.

Kirby added that Washington supports Turkey and Iraq continuing to have a dialogue.
