Settlement of the Syrian conflict should be achieved by political means, rather than military, the head of the Pentagon Ashton Carter said during the Ministerial Forum of the ASEAN countries.
"I think that the US Secretary of State John Kerry tries to put an end to the civil war, although unsuccessfully, but from the position of the Syrian people," he noted.
