US Ambassador to Russia John Tefft will complete his diplomatic mission in Moscow in early autumn, the Deputy Chief of Mission Lynne Tracy said, speaking today at a reception at the Spaso House on the occasion of the US Independence Day.
"Ambassador Tefft is completing his mission in Russia. He and his wife Mariella will leave Moscow in the beginning of autumn," TASS cited Tracyas saying.
The deputy head of the US diplomatic mission read out the address of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, in which he thanked Tefft for his many years of service.
The ambassador himself stressed that "it was wonderful to work in the field of diplomacy," and expressed gratitude to the Russians for their support.
