Anaklia Black Sea Port has attracted the interest of one of the world's largest privately held port operators, SSA Marine.
SSA Marine will operate Georgia’s future port in Anaklia, Agenda.ge reported.
"We are proud to be partners of such perspective and ambitious project. The Anaklia Deep Sea Port is what will make Georgia as an important logistic centre,” Vice-President of SSA Marine Bob Waters said.
Work on the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project began before the end of 2016 and will be completed by 2020.
The Anaklia Deep Sea Port project is one of the infrastructural projects within Georgia’s new Spatial Arrangement Plan and the Government’s four - point reform plan to improve the country’s economy and investment environment.
