US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell threatened German companies participating in the construction of Nord Stream 2 with new sanctions.
According to the diplomat, the project will lead Europe to dependence on Russia. In addition, he named the participation of German ex-chancellor Gerhard Schroeder in the construction of the gas pipeline “impossible”.
