The US anti-Russian sanctions imposed by Washington today will also apply to companies from other countries, in particular, Türkiye and Armenia. The restrictions are following the circumvention of previous sanctions.

The new US sanctions, which Washington announced today, restrict organizations from Türkiye, Armenia, Uzbekistan, China and some other countries. In total, more than 30 legal entities were restricted.

Sanctions are imposed against:

  • 10 Russian companies,
  • 12 Chinese structures,
  • one company each from Armenia, Spain, Malta, Singapore, Syria and Türkiye,
  • two legal entities from the UAE and Uzbekistan.

Causes

The reason for blacklisting these organizations was their alleged participation in activities aimed against security, as well as the US foreign policy interests.

Thus, they were bypassing export controls and purchasing the US products for the Russian defense industry.

Now, for the supply of the US goods, these companies will need a special license, which will obviously be almost impossible to obtain.
