The US on Wednesday said Iran continues to be the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism along with Sudan and Syria, Firstpost reports.
All the three countries have been on this list of the US for the past several decades.
In its annual report to the Congress, the State Department alleged that Iran continued terrorist-related activity in 2016, including support for Hezbollah, Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza, and various groups in Syria, Iraq, and throughout West Asia.
