The United States intends to increase the production of Javelin anti-tank missile systems and Stinger man-portable air defence systems, the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, Douglas Bush, announced.
"I think these two potentials (the production of Javelin and Stinger) for the army will quickly move forward, as Congress wants us to replenish the arsenals. I think we can do it," TASS quotes him as saying.
Bush said issues such as long acquisition lead times, acquisition of add-on equipment, local needs and supply chain are currently under consideration for the production of the complexes.
