A separate law on multi-year financing of Israel’s defense for $ 38 billion was recently passed by the US Congress. Its development was motivated by the need to protect military aid to Tel Aviv, regardless of what the future Congresses and Presidents will be.
Thus, the law states that the financial aid to Israel does not depend on the US budget. The text of the document contains additional powers of the president, who will now be able to create a $ 1 billion weapons reserve for Tel Aviv and establish the US-Israeli military cooperation programs.
