Ukraine has barred Russia's Eurovision contestant Julia Samoilova because she performed in Crimea.
Samoilova was banned from attending the event because of her "illegal" visit , the Ukrainian SBU security service said.
The singer has confirmed that she sang in Crimea in 2015.
The contest’s Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand said that the European Broadcasting Union had no objection against Samoilova’s participation in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and the Ukrainian authorities should decide.
