Kiev is ready to sign "the third winter package" on gas with Russia and the European Union, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said.
"As for the winter package, which was signed between the EU, Russia and Ukraine already twice, we discuss the possibility of doing it for the third time," TASS cited him as saying.
The Ukrainian government has also made a decision to increase the strategic gas reserves kept at the Naftogaz of Ukraine company's underground storage facilities to 17 billion cubic meters.
"We are looking for the ways to find the optimal figure between 17 billion cubic meters and 14.5 billion cubic meters so that we get through the winter normally," Interfax cited him as saying.
