Ukrainian Prosecutor General resigns

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin has sent his letter of resignation, the Presidential spokesman Sviatoslav Tseholko said.

"Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin wrote a letter of resignation. Today it arrived at the presidential administration," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Yesterday Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko recommended that Victor Shokin and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk resign from their posts.
