The unique heart surgeries on ten children were held in Karachay-Cherkessia by the head of the Department of Surgery of Heart and Blood vessels of the M. Vladimirsky Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute, Alexander Osiev, in the regional vascular center.
The surgeries for the first time in the KCR were performed by the endovascular method, that is, through a microscopic puncture under the x-ray control of the surgeon, due to which the postoperative complications will be close to zero. The ventricular septal defects of all the children were closed.
