United Nations will consider release of WikiLeaks founder

Today the UN published on its website a statement, according to which the working committee for the organization of illegal detention will consider the release of the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange on Friday, February 5th.

The committee will consider the cases initiated against Assange in Sweden and in the UK. If the commission recognizes the arrest as illegal, Assange should be released with a compensation payment.
