Uzavtosanoat JSC plans to increase production of cars in Uzbekistan to 220,000-230,000 units per year, chairman of the Board of Uzavtosanoat Umidjan Salimov said at a press conference in Tashkent.
The country produced 140,240 cars last year. Salimov also said that Uzavtosanoat plans to completely revamp the system of car sales in Uzbekistan.
Their task is to create a system when the customer immediately picks up the car after payment, Uzbek mass media reported citing him as saying.
Salimov added that currently dealers simply sell cars to clients, earning their margin from sales.
