General Director of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) Valery Fedorov has announced at the final meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense that now the public's demand for a strong army is high as never and the population has very positive attitude to it.
"The population's attitude to the Russian army has dramatically improved over the past 15 years. During the past three years, the increase was vertical. We can see that dynamics are fantastic: 32% of Russians approved of the actions by the Armed Forces in 2006. 82% of the population approve them in 2015," Tass cites him as saying.
