Chief of the General Staff of Russia’s Armed Forces Army General Valery Gerasimov arrived in Baku.
He met with Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Nejmeddin Sadikov.
At the talks the sides discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries, RIA Novosti reports.
The top Russian military official will also meet with the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford today in Baku.
