Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, accused of killing an Armenian family, has pleaded guilty to desertion and weapons charges during the trial at Russia's 102nd military base in Armenia.
The testimony indicated that he does not have mental issues and did not attempt suicide. The case is being heard by the Southern Military District's Fifth Garrison Court. Permyakov will be handed over to Armenian officials for trial on charges of killing the members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri.
