A student of the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University, Alexandra Ivanova (Varvara Karaulova), who is accused of trying to join the Daesh terrorist group, which is banned in Russia, will remain in custody for several months, a spokesperson for the Lefortovo court, Yulia Skotnikova, said.
"The court granted the request of the investigation to extend the detention period of the accused Ivanova for another 3 months and 5 days," RIA Novosti quotes her as saying.
