Velayati: Iran to cope with US oil exports ban

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's top adviser on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, said that Iran will cope with the problems that will arise after the United States ban of Iranian oil exports.

Velayati said that U.S. sanctions against Iran could raise oil prices and harm oil consumers.

"It will be difficult, but we also learned how to conduct marketing, how to receive money for oil," he said at the Valdai Discussion Club.

At the same time, Ali Akbar Velayati stressed that there are no insoluble issues. "There will be problems, but they will not remain unsettled," the adviser summed up.

On May 8, US President Donald Trump announced the US is withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and is reinstituting a wide range of sanctions against Iran. But said that he was ready, willing and able to negotiate a new deal with Iran when it is ready.
